- Spit the bones from your food out onto the table in a nice restaurant
- Find the longest connected line of escalators to take you up a big hill in the Mid-Levels (and they only go up, you have to walk down)
- Find footprints on the toilet seats in the ladies' bathroom (they actually put up signs telling you not to squat on the seats)
- See public toilets for dogs
- See dogs carted around in baby strollers, with little jackets and booties on
- Go to a restaurant called "Modern Toilet" where you sit on a "throne"
- Not find plain vanilla ice cream or a plain white t-shirt
- See a t-shirt where Mickey Mouse is misspelled
- See sick people wearing surgical masks when they are out
- Have pink and red be complemetary clothing colors
- Have a free roller coaster on the public transportation
- Pay only about $20 US for an amazing number of cell phone minutes to other countries
- Find people who unashamedly ask if you want to buy a fake handbag or copy watch
- See contruction workers wearing flip-flops on a work site
- Hear normal conversations that sound like arguments (it's all those tones they use!)
- Meet people who want to take a photo with you because you're white or black
- See everyone make the peace sign in all their photos
- See pink dolphins
- See bamboo used for scaffolding
- Find Hello Kitty Tetris

In the Philippines:
1. I did meet a girl named Apple
2. People wanted to take their picture with me because I was black and I had braids in my hair
3. The people building the Habitat Houses usually only wore flip flops on their feet...while mixing cement.
