Tonight, our already eclectic team was priviledged to have a team from Zambia stopping through, and they led us in song. It was so fun, but it also led into our discussion of the nations, and the current events happening in Myanmar and China that have faced such huge disasters these past two weeks. It is simply just shocking to hear the devastation those in Myanmar are facing, and their government isn't allowing aid to get in. So many thousands died just from the cylcone hit, but so many more thousands are dying because they aren't getting water or other basic medical attention they so much need right now. They aren't even letting the U.N. in, which is quite astonishing. We have a part of our website with Crossroad
s set up so those within the HK community, who would like to respond financially, can do so and send aid to disaster victims. We've hardly had any hits for Myanmar, because people know their aid will not go in. Just so sad, because the willingness to help is there, but they will not take it. They are letting their own people die. I just can't get my head around that.

I just can't get my head around that.And in China, so close on the heels of the Myanmar cyclone, the most devastating earthquake since 1976 struck on Monday, killing over 10,000 people, that they can estimate anyway. Obviously, that's huge news where I am, and the images that keep coming out of people digging through rubble to find survivors reminds me of the images from September 11th. And it's just chilling. All those kids in school were 
crushed. People on the highway were crushed. People lying in bed at home were crushed. Just unfathomable.

Just unfathomable.One light in this darkness, however, was that as a relief organization, we had already packed a 40 foot container of medical and other relief supplies, and a donor stepped forward willing to pay the freight so we've already sent aid to the victims in China. I am so, so grateful to be able to play a part in helping others during this time of disaster and hopelessness.
So I just, once again, ask that you keep these places in your thoughts and continue to lift
them up. We know that He knows each of those involved in these disasters, and only He knows how to open the Burmese border, and how to ease the pain of loss and suffering in both Myanmar and China. It can't, and shouldn't, be easily forgotten. Particularly in these countries who do not believe or follow Him, these times will be challenging, and the rebuilding of countries and lives and families will be significantly hard. Please continue to remember them, and to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
